G-1000® | 65% Polyester / 35% Cotton
G-1000 is Fjällräven’s durable and versatile fabric, a proven outdoor classic for any type of adventure at any time of the year. The tightly woven fabric is made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton and has been waxed with Greenland Wax. This combination makes it extremely durable, highly breathable and also wind and water resistant. The impregnation of G-1000 products is easily renewed with Fjällräven’s Greenland Wax.
Fjällräven uses recycled polyester in order to reduce their use of non-renewable resources, prevent old materials from going to waste and create less air, water and soil contamination. Fjällräven’s recycled polyester equipment is made from polyester fibers of recycled pet bottles, unusable second quality fabrics, fabric offcuts and worn out garments.
Grown without the use of toxic pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. Third-party certification organizations verify that Fjällräven’s organic producers use only methods and materials approved for organic production. Their methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Cotton is a natural fiber offering an unsurpassed soft, comfortable feel against the skin. Pure cotton garmnets are primarily recommended for easy-going activities and for use in hot climates, where its moisture binding properties give a cooling effect. Fjällräven uses only the highest quality long-fiber cotton. Cotton flannel has a soft, brushed surface. All of Fjällräven’s cotton t-shirts and many other products are made from organically grown cotton.

Fjällräven is known throughout the world for only using down of the highest quality. When you buy a down product from Fjällräven you can also be sure that the down we use is the result of a process that takes the greatest possible care of the birds well-being. Thanks to Fjällräven’s extensive experience, they have managed to establish a unique production process where all their down is 100% traceable — right from the newly-hatched goslings to the completed down product. The down Fjällräven uses is a high quality by-product from the food industry. To ensure that it is never mixed with down from other, unethical sources (e.g. from birds that have been force-fed or live-plucked), it is handled in sealed sacks, which are checked in repeated tests at different stages of the production process.
Ethically produced down of the highest quality.
